Day 39 – Metsovo, Meteora

Wow what can I say about Meteora, I don’t think there are enough adjectives in the English language to describe how amazing the place is. It is even more incredible when you realise that these monasteries were built by hand on top of these mountains starting in the 14th century. Here are just a few of the many photos I took today, I went inside a few of the monasteries but you could not take photos inside so nothing to show you from inside.

When I got back from Meteora I had a walk around Metsovo the village I am staying in and took a few more photos, it is such a beautiful area, I wish I had more time to explore here.
