Day 14 – Lake Bled to Ljubljana

Wow, I cannot believe that I have been travelling for a fortnight already, that means only six weeks left of my holiday!! I packed this morning in Lake Bled and posted back a box of winter clothes, the weather is already starting to get warmer, other than face care the only thing I have bought is a good rain jacket and fleece. Yet, my suitcase seemed to be fuller and heavier so time to dump the excess winter gear. That is one problem with travelling in between seasons is that your clothing has to cover both preceding seasons, yes I can hear you all saying… First world problem.

After the trip to the post office, I caught a bus from Lake Bled to Ljubljana, not a bad journey, just over an hour and my hotel (Cubo) was only a 15-minute walk from the bus station. The hotel is in a fantastic location, only a couple of minutes walk to the city centre. Ljubljana’s city centre is a pedestrian zone and the architecture and buildings here are gorgeous. I did not have a lot of time to take photos today but popped out just before sunset to see if I could use some of the skills I learnt yesterday. Hopefully, I haven’t forgotten them already!
